We aim to sell original whole bags – these typically range from 12 to 25kg depending on the material. If you want smaller quantities such as 1kg, 2kg, 5kg, or 10kg then we have a sister company called Mimea Mauzo Ltd that specializes is selling in these fixed quantities through an e-commerce site www.mimea.co.uk

Email, phone us, get in touch via our Contact Page, or complete the online product enquiry form here with the details of the product you are after, your intended use and what quantity you want to buy; we will also need to know who you are and where you would want delivery sent to. If you are a business, we will also want your company registration, VAT number etc. for invoicing purposes. The more information you provide us the easier it will be to help you acquire what you are after.

When requesting a quotation on any material try to be as specific as possible, with details on the form of the material (Powder, Cut, Root etc), the required quantity(s) in KG, along with your company name and delivery address.

If you have any specification requirements or can offer details of the intended use, this is also useful information to ensure we are quoting the right material for you. The more information you provide us the easier it will be to help you source what you are after as efficiently as possible.

Once you have decided to accept a quote from us then we will send you a new customer questionnaire to complete and return so we can set you up on our system. Once we have you set up will raise a proforma invoice for settlement prior to shipping your order. For more details visit it our How we work with you page.

Yes, once you have reached sufficient trading history with us and are spending over £500/month on goods we will evaluate a new account request.

Once we have received your order and payment (if you are a proforma customer and it is a product we hold in stock) then we would typically ship to you next-day or next few working days depending on your location and need for speed. Again, the more you explain to us about your need, the better suited our response can be.

We typically carry around 600 products in stock and would aim to deliver most orders from stock. We receive new stock constantly and we will always try to be as accurate as possible with availability timescales when we have to put your sales order on back order.

We are happy to try to source new products for you if there is a commercial justification to do so. We have a very developed supply chain built from our inception in 1882 and our long trading history and we are happy to call on the relationships and expertise built up to try to help our customers match the demand for the product they need.

We deliver all over the UK and overseas using a variety of different transport methods and trusted freight suppliers.

Some of our goods that we sell are Volumised due to the Volumetric Weight being greater than the original bag/box weight of the goods being shipped.  Next to the product details on the Quotation, Proforma, Sales Order Acknowledgment and Invoice it says Volumised where the charge is applicable, so it is clear which products the charge of £15.00 per bag applies to.  If you order a selection of six items or more these are then shipped on a pallet rather than being sent by courier, so the Volumised charge does not apply.

Volumetric Weight is a calculation used by courier firms for larger items that will not fit on their sorting conveyor and are manually sorted.  The calculation method can vary from courier to courier.  We ship via InXpress that use DHL.

Volumised Calculation:

Length x width x height (in cm) divided by 4000 gives the Volumised Weight.  If the Volumised weight is greater than the bag/box weight the Volumised Charge applies.

If the material you are after is classed as a dangerous goods item then there may be additional freight charges that apply but we will quote you for these once we have obtained quotes for the precise amount of material you want shipped and to where.

No, we prefer bank transfer, we will provide a proforma invoice for you to settle before we ship you the goods unless you have a trade account in which case you can pay by BACS when the invoice is due.

Yes, but please bear in mind that we are a bulk supplier and so “more” means significant quantity and repeat business.

Normally we quote a delivered price using the most appropriate method of transport; parcel, pallet, sea freight, airfreight etc. If there is choice available e.g. speed over cost, then we may quote an ex-works price and then give separate costed shipping options.

We do not generally allow collections in normal circumstances.

Yes. We are really a trade wholesaler and exporter, and we would like to be supplying pallets or containers full of goods to you although we recognise that you may wish to test us out with smaller quantities first. Please talk to us and explain what you want, and we will be delighted to assist you and make doing business with us as easy and mutually beneficial as possible.

We have over 140 years’ experience in importing and exporting. We work with very tested and trusted shipping partners and can export all over the globe.

We are happy to provide small samples (typically 10grams) once you are happy with our quotation, these may be FOC or chargeable depending on the value, quantity and location for delivery.

We carry a specification for every product we supply. These are fairly simple as they are generic and can often span material from multiple sources etc.

Each batch of raw material will have a COA/COC, which is available on request. It is the Customers sole responsibility to ensure suitability for their application.

If the tests required are already covered by the pertaining CoA then these will be provided. If specific tests are not done by us as standard, then we can have our independent third party, fully accredited laboratories carry out specific tests but the cost of these additional tests must be borne by the customer or will be included in the product cost.

Almost all materials we supply come packed in multi-layer paper bags (sometimes with plastic liners if powders) or woven polypropylene sacks. The vast majority of our packaging materials and fully recyclable.

We are happy to offer call off orders where our customers contract (subject to satisfactory trading history and subject to contract) to take a specific quantity of materials over a time period, but wish to call it off in smaller quantities to help their storage constraints rather than take it all in one delivery. Call off order contracts must be of significant quantity. Please speak to our sales team.

We have been in this business since 1882 and we have a very well developed, trusted and high-quality supply chain and all of our suppliers are assessed and accredited. We have very strong feelings on any kind of unfair, poor practice, human rights abuse, cruelty, illegal action, corruption, modern slavery, or any other injustice.

This will depend on the product and also what process it goes through from raw material to finished product. We supply a Certificate of Analysis/Certificate of Conformance with all materials when requested and this will show what it has been tested for, it is up to you to determine the suitability of our material for your products.

When you report the damage or problem, please let us have as much information as possible including, ideally, photographs which show damage to pallet/bags/product label etc.

We will then discuss with you your preference on how to deal with the situation and endeavor to resolve the problem for you as quickly as we possibly can.

If we can supply your order entirely from one suitable batch then we will do that. Where there is an insufficient amount of one batch and we have other batches of material of the same quality then we will supply from two or multiple batches if you need that quantity of stock immediately. Please advise if you have a preference of one batch or that you are happy to receive multiple batches.
