Personal Data and Communication

Joseph Flach & Sons Ltd. would like to stay in touch with you and we will communicate with you to answer correspondence arriving from you by e-mail, telephone or in writing.    In doing this some of your data can be collected by us.   As an example, we hold information which includes name, business address, business email and business telephone contact information.   In order to conduct legitimate business with you we will collect your data;

  • whenever you become a legitimate prospective customer or prospective supplier of ours and we need to contact you to offer you our legitimate business services or request potential legitimate business services from you
  • whenever you become a customer or supplier of ours

Joseph Flach & Sons Ltd and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25th May 2018 and this impacts every organisation which holds or processes personal data relating to an EU citizen (including UK citizens).   It introduces new responsibilities, including the need to demonstrate compliance, more stringent enforcement and substantially increased penalties than the current Data Protection Act (DPA) which it will supersede.

Joseph Flach & Sons Ltd. is already committed to high standards of data security and information non-disclosure.

We have extended the existing security and business management systems we already employ in our business and we have deployed systems to identify all critical data that we hold and ensure that we treat it in accordance with the required legislation. We will continue to monitor our use of your data and our procedures for the use of your data.

No personal information will be kept in perpetuity.  We will keep your personal data for no longer than reasonably necessary for the given purpose for which your data is processed.  Notwithstanding the above, we may retain your personal data as required by applicable laws and regulations, as necessary to assist with any government and judicial investigations, to initiate or defend legal claims or for the purpose of civil, criminal or administrative proceedings.  If none of the above is grounds for us to keep your data, we will delete and dispose of your data in a secure manner according to our data protection policy.

 Visitors to our Websites

Our website at www.josephflach.co.uk is encoded using the encryption module of your browser and is certified for international encryption techniques. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layers) encryption to protect your personal information and Extended Validation to help you verify you are talking to us.

When someone visits our website we collect standard internet log information including details of visitor behaviour patterns.   We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of our site.   This information is collected anonymously without identifying anyone.

We collect details from e-mail messages you may send to us.    We will collect details including your e-mail address, name, company and contact details, including telephone numbers and email addresses.

    Our minimum order quantity is based on supply of multiple original whole bags (bags are typically 20 to 25kg per item).
