Cat’s claw root bark powder is a fine, brown powder with a smooth texture, made from dried Cats Claw root bark. It has a mild, earthy aroma and taste. Cat’s claw is typically found in the Amazon rainforest and other tropical regions of South America. The plant is a large vine with hooks, hence the name. The root bark contains alkaloids, triterpenes and glycosides. Known also as Una de Gato, cat’s claw powder is used traditionally in herbal remedies for its believed immune-supporting and anti-inflammatory properties, often included in teas, capsules, and tinctures.
