Orange Flowers Sweet (Citrus sinensis) is the intensely fragrant flower of the Citrus sinensis tree. It is often drunk as an infusion, said to be a mild stimulant. It is often used as a vehicle for the administration of other medicines, and in itself purportedly helps with nervous conditions including chorea, hysteria and epilepsy.

The water, which should be fresh and not from a previously boiled kettle, should be off the boil before being poured over the flowers, to avoid scalding the blossom.
