Product description
Broom herb, otherwise known as butcher’s broom or Ruscus aculeatus, is sourced from an evergreen shrub that grows across Western Europe. Its two nicknames came about after the plant’s branches were used as miniature brooms - most notably by butchers, who used them to keep their chopping blocks clean. How is it used?
Besides its historic use as a makeshift broom, broom herb has long been used in medicine. Its history in the field dates back thousands of years, thanks in large part to its high content of active compounds (including flavonoids). It’s believed that broom herb can help improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation and lower the risk of contracting haemorrhoids.
