Joseph Flach and Sons are experienced in shipping to customer worldwide, whether you are round the corner in the UK or on the other side of the world you can be assured that we will take care of all the shipping arrangements to ensure your goods reach you as soon and as smoothly as possible.
Deliveries in the United Kingdom
In the UK, for stocked items, we aim to deliver in 1-2 working days. Whether it is small quantities shipped via DPD or larger palletised orders shipped via our network of freight forwarders, we will take care of the delivery process from start to finish. Generally for UK orders pricing includes shipping but any additional charges, for example where a volumisation charge is incurred, will be made clear at quotation stage.
Where you order something unique that we don’t hold in stock we will keep you up to date on the progress of your order with expected arrival dates and you can be assured that as soon as it arrives in stock we will arrange delivery.
Export deliveries
Our overseas customers can rely on us to arrange and deal with all the shipping requirements to ensure they receive their goods as cost effectively and as quickly as possible.
Our team have decades of experience in customs regulations and requirements and with customers in 57 countries globally we will ensure that the transportation process is as smooth as possible.
Quality documentation
Copies of specifications and certificates of analysis can be provided up front at order stage for your chosen product to ensure that what you want is what you are ordering.
Customs requirements
Depending on the territory for delivery we will arrange to provide the relevant documents for customs clearance such as:
- Certificates of Origin
- Phytosanitary Certificates
- Free Sale Certificates
- Dangerous Goods Notes
- Bespoke letters or statements required
- CITES certificates for restricted goods
We can even label goods with your own labels if this is helpful.
Shipping methods
The more we know about your requirements up front the smoother the process will be.
We will discuss with you your preferred shipping methods taking account of cost, time, efficiency of pallet loading etc. We can arrange to ship by sea, air, road or rail depending on your requirements.
We will assist you with comparing costs and working out the optimum configuration of pallets and modes of transport to meet your quantity requirements.
We can ship on different pallet sizes and heights to suit your preferences.
Our pallets are heat treated and the product is shrink wrapped to provide protection and minimize issues on route.
Incoterms
Within Europe we deliver DAP or you can collect from us on an Ex Works basis. Worldwide we tend to ship CIF to port or airport or again you can collect from us Ex Works if that suits you better. We are FDA registered and experienced in obtaining prior notification for shipping to the United States.

Once you’ve accepted a quote from us, we will send you a new customer questionnaire to complete and return so we can set you up on our system. Once we have you set up, we will raise a pro forma invoice for settlement prior to shipping your order.
We typically carry around 600 products in stock and would aim to deliver most orders from stock. We receive new stock constantly, and we will always try to be as accurate as possible with availability timescales if we have to put your sales order on back order.
Yes – with a long history and plenty of expertise, the team are more than happy to advise on the extensive range of botanicals we have in stock. However, what you need will depend on your business requirements. It is ultimately up to you, the customer, to decide what products you need and how to use them.
The vast majority of our packaging materials and fully recyclable. Almost all materials we supply come packed in multi-layer paper bags (sometimes with plastic liners for powders) or woven polypropylene sacks.
