Commonly known as wild rosemary, ledum palustre is an evergreen shrub that’s native to Northern America, Europe and Asia. The leaves are thin, curved and green with red undersides which are said to hold powerful healing properties which relieve pain and reduce inflammation when applied to the skin.
Ledum palustre has an antiseptic aroma and is used amongst homeopaths to treat skin ailments such as boils and insect bites. It can also be brewed into a herbal infusion believed to heal respiratory problems like colds, asthma and coughs.
When brewed, ledum paulustre is known as “Marsh Labrador tea,” which features a unique minty citrus taste.
