Artichoke Leaves Powder

Artichoke leaves powder is a finely ground product made from dried artichoke leaves, exhibiting a greenish-brown colour and a fine, powdery texture. It has a slightly bitter, earthy aroma and taste. This powder is derived from the artichoke plant, typically found in Mediterranean climates and part of the Asteraceae family. It is also cultivated as a garden vegetable and the plant is thistle like bluish white flower and prickly leaves. Rich in sesquiterpene lactones, caffeic acid derivatives, flavonoids, fibre, and cynarin, artichoke leaves powder is traditionally used primarily for its digestive and liver-supporting properties, in teas, supplements, and herbal formulations. It has been used by some to treat dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome and for lowering cholesterol.
