    Golden Rod Herb Cut refers to the cut and processed form of the golden rod plant, typically used for herbal remedies and preparations. Golden rod, part of the Asteraceae plant family, is a perennial herb recognised for its tall stems and clusters of bright yellow flowers. The plant native to North America, Europe and Asia typically grows between 0.5m to 1.5m tall, thriving in open areas like meadows, prairies and along roadsides. The plant is harvested, dried and cut into convenient pieces for use within herbal remedies and products.

    Golden Rod contains saponins, clerodane diterpenes, phenolic acids,volatile oils and flavonoids.

    How is it used?

    Golden Rod has been traditionally used to support urinary tract health, treating conditions such as cystitis and urethritis. It is thought that it has an ability to reduce inflammation, making it useful for conditions like arthritis. Historically used as a diuretic, promoting urine production, aiding in the elimination of toxins and reducing water retention. Golden Rod is believed to contain compounds that protect cells from oxidative stress, supporting overall health along with historically being used to treat wounds, burns, and skin infections due to its astringent properties.
