    Form: Whole

    Product description

Cubebs are dried, small, brownish-black berries from the Piper cubeba plant, featuring a rough, wrinkled texture. They have a strong, peppery aroma and a pungent, slightly bitter taste. Cubebs are commonly found in tropical regions of Indonesia and Java. They derive from the Piperaceae family and are also known as tailed pepper. The berries contain essential oils, lignans, cubebic acid and resin. Cubebs are used in culinary applications, particularly in Middle Eastern and Indonesian cuisines, as well as in traditional herbal remedies for their believed digestive and respiratory benefits.
