Toasted coconut flakes are thin, golden-brown flakes of dried coconut meat with a crisp texture. They have a sweet, nutty aroma and taste. Coconuts are typically grown in tropical regions, particularly in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. The product contains natural sugars, fibre, and fats. Toasted coconut flakes are used in culinary applications, such as baking, confectionery, and cooking, as well as in snacks and granola for their flavour and texture. Coconut meat is also sold as dried desiccated coconut and coconut flour.
