Eyebright Herb Powder

Eyebright Herb Powder, made from dried and finely ground Eyebright Herb, is a small annual herb with a height of 2-8 inches. It features serrated leaves and small, white or purple flowers with a yellow spot and notched petals. Traditionally used in herbal medicine, particularly for eye-related conditions. Eyebright herb is native to Europe, thriving in grassy fields and meadows, part of the Scrophulariaceae family, it has also naturalised in parts of North America and Asia.

Eyebright has a bitter, saline taste and no smell. Eyebright is said to contain several bioactive compounds contributing to its reported remedial properties including flavonoids, iridoids, tannins and phenolic acids.

How is it used?

Historically used to alleviate various eye conditions, such as conjunctivitis, blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids), and eye strain. Eyebright Herb is sometimes used to treat colds, allergies, and sinus infections due to its reported anti-inflammatory and astringent properties. It is thought to be beneficial when applied topically to help heal wounds and relieve skin irritations.
