    Bugleweed Herb Cut (American)

    Lycopus virginicus

    Form: Cut

    Product description

Bugleweed herb cut consists of the dried, chopped aerial parts of the bugleweed plant, with a green to brownish-green colour and a coarse texture. It has a mild, minty aroma and a slightly bitter taste. Bugleweed is typically found in wetlands and damp environments in North America and Europe. It is a member of the Lamiaceae family and the plant has bright green pointy leaves and white flowers. The herb contains phenolic acids, flavonoids, and tannins. Known also as Lycopus or Gypsywort, bugleweed has been used traditionally in herbal remedies for its believed calming and thyroid-supporting properties, often included in teas and tinctures.
