Burdock Leaves Cut
Arctium lappa
Form: Cut
Product description
Burdock leaves cut are the dried, chopped leaves of the burdock plant, displaying a greenish-brown colour and a coarse texture. They have a mildly sweet, earthy aroma and a slightly bitter, herbaceous taste. Burdock is commonly found in temperate regions across Europe, Asia, and North America. It belongs to the Asteraceae family and the plants have hollow stalks, long dark green leaves which are woolly underneath and flower in late summer with clingy burrs. The leaves contain inulin, polyacetylenes, and flavonoids. Cut burdock leaves are used in herbal teas, infusions, and traditional remedies for their believed detoxifying and anti-inflammatory properties.
