    Papaya Leaf Powder

    Carica papaya

    Form: Powder

    Product description

Papaya leaf powder is made from the dried and ground leaves of the papaya plant, also known as Pawpaw, native to Central America and parts of South America. The powder has a slightly earthy aroma and a bitter, pungent flavour. Papaya leaf powder is commonly used in traditional herbal remedies and commonly consumed as a juice.

Papaya leaves are 50-70 cm in diameter with 7 lobes, they contain latex and laticifers.

    Uses:

Papaya leaves have been used in traditional herbal remedies for their believed ability to improve the immune system and increase platelet counts and for their antibacterial effects. They have also been traditionally used to treat dengue fever, inflammation, skin and hair and blood sugar levels. However, excessive consumption may cause digestive issues or allergic reactions in some individuals. Moderation is advised, especially for those with plant allergies or gastrointestinal conditions.

Natural products can cause side effects. As with any herbal supplement, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before incorporating into one’s routine, especially for individuals who are pregnant, nursing, or have pre-existing medical conditions.
