    Raspberry Leaf Powder

    Rubus idaeus

    Form: Powder

    Product description

Raspberry Leaf Powder is derived from the dried leaves of the red raspberry plant, part of the Rosaceae family. Raspberry leaves are green and have a characteristic serrated edge, similar to other members of the Rubus genus. The powder is finely ground from dried raspberry leaves.

Native to Europe, northern Asia, and North America, raspberry leaves are cultivated worldwide for their cosmetic and herbal remedy uses.

Raspberry leaves contain polypeptides, flavonoids and tannins.

    How is it used?

Used historically in herbal remedies, particularly for women’s health issues and to promote childbirth, raspberry leaves have also been used to treat sore throats and diarrhoea.

Often used to make herbal teas and infusions for its potential health benefits, raspberry leaves contain tannins, which are said to provide astringent properties, helping to tone and tighten tissues. The plant also contains flavonoids, which are thought to have antioxidant compounds which could help protect cells. The raspberry leaf also contains vitamins C, E, and various B vitamins, as well as minerals like calcium and iron. Raspberry leaf powder is typically used in capsules, for ease of consumption and to allow for standardised dosages. The raspberry leaf is also commonly brewed into teas, and sometimes used within skin care products.
