    Cat Thyme Herb Cut

    Teucrium marum verum

    Form: Cut

    Product description

Cat Thyme (Teucrium marum) is a close relative of germander. In appearance, this herb resembles thyme, but its aroma is somewhat different. Native to Spain and Western Mediterranean, this evergreen herb has grey-green leaves and pink flowers. Enquire about buying wholesale cat thyme herb cut in bulk from Joseph Flach & Sons. We’ve been trusted suppliers of global botanical ingredients since 1882. With each purchase, you can benefit from our expertise and an efficient ordering process.

    How is it used?

When crushed or cut, the leaves are highly pungent and attractive for cats. Some even prefer it to catnip.

Due to its astringent and antiseptic properties, cat’s thyme has been applied to skincare products to treat sores and cuts.

In traditional medicine, this herb was used to treat gallbladder and stomach disorders. Traditionally, cat’s thyme was also used as a snuff to treat a runny nose and sore throat.
