Product description
Cocoa beans are known the world over for their contribution to the creation of chocolate. They are the seeds of the Theobroma cacao tree and are found in many chocolate-based confectionery products. Most of today’s cocoa beans are sourced in West Africa, particularly Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Cameroon. Chocolate continues to grow in popularity, with global cocoa production expected to reach over five million tons in 2023.

How to use cocoa beans
You’ll find cocoa beans in a host of chocolate confectionery, including hot chocolate, chocolate bars and selection boxes. Once harvested, the beans are fermented and roasted to give them their distinct flavour.
The fat, or cocoa butter, can also be extracted and used in cosmetics and skincare. They are naturally rich in antioxidants and favoured for its moisturising properties.
