    Eucalyptus Leaves Cut

    Eucalyptus globulus

    Form: Cut

    Product description

Eucalyptus is an evergreen tree that’s known for its supposed medicinal properties. It’s native to Australia but now grows in many areas around the world. Whilst the bark and long stems are hard to ingest raw, its leaves can be made into a tea that’s easy and safe to consume if free of any environmental contaminants. It can also be made into essential oil for topical use or inhalation. Eucalyptus leaves are said to be a great source of antioxidants, and offer health benefits such as relieving cold symptoms and treating dry skin.

    May have health benefits

The leaves from Eucalyptus plants are high in antioxidants and are said to treat many ailments, including pain, dry skin and cold symptoms. In the late 1800s, Eucalyptus oil was used to clean urinary catheters in most English hospitals due to its supposed antimicrobial properties.

Fresh leaves can be added when gargling to relieve bronchitis and sore throats. Eucalyptus may also help other ailments such as:

    • Arthritis
    • Wounds
    • Burns
    • Ulcers
    • Cold sores
    • Bladder diseases
    • Diabetes (said to lower blood sugar)
    • Promoting relaxation

It’s important to note that eucalyptus leaves tea should not be mistaken for eucalyptus oil. Eucalyptus oil is toxic if consumed and can’t be added to tea.
