Product description
Lavender flower powder is derived from the dried flowers of the lavender plant, which is also known as English lavender. Lavender is well-known for its fragrant aroma and has been used for centuries in various cultural, culinary, and remedial applications. Lavender is a small, perennial shrub that belongs to the Lamiaceae family and is native to the Mediterranean. It has narrow, grey-green leaves and spikes of small, purple-blue flowers. The flowers are the most commonly used part of the plant, known for their essential oils and therapeutic properties. Linalool and linalyl acetate are the primary components responsible for lavender’s believed calming and therapeutic effects. Lavender flower powder is made by grinding dried lavender flowers and can be used in various applications, including culinary recipes, teas, and cosmetic products.
Lavender also contains a variety of other volatile oils, coumarins, flavonoids and caffeic acid derivatives including rosmarinic acid.
