Blackberry leaves cut are the dried, chopped leaves of the blackberry plant, featuring a greenish-brown colour and a coarse texture. They have a mildly sweet, earthy aroma and a slightly astringent, herbaceous taste. Blackberry plants are widely found in temperate regions across Europe, North America, and Asia. The leaves contain tannins and flavonoids. Cut blackberry leaves are used in herbal teas, infusions, and have historically been used in traditional remedies for their believed astringent and anti-inflammatory properties and can also be used as a steamed vegetable or in soups.
